Location: Austin, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends (4 weekend shifts per month), no call requiredHighlights:- 13-week contract assignment on a 28-bed medical surgical telemetry unit- Patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1 with collaborative team approach- Equipment includes telemetry monitoring, video EEG, Hoyer lifts, and bladder scanners- EMR system: Meditech- Supportive team environment with dedicated charge nurses on every shift- Night shift team includes 1 charge nurse, 6 RNs, and 3 PCTsRequirements:- Active RN license in Texas (or ability to obtain)- Current BLS certification required- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required- Telemetry experience required- Hospital experience required- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience strongly preferred- Epilepsy care experience preferredWhy It's a Great Opportunity:This medical surgical telemetry unit offers registered nurses the chance to develop expertise in neurological and complex medical care while working alongside an experienced, collaborative team.
