Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,584 per week in Denver, CO

Job Title: RN - Med/Surg Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: RN License required Certifications: BLS preferred Description: Travel RN position in a Med/Surg unit. The unit consists of 30 beds. The number of staff is 53. Day Shift has 4-6 RNs depending on census with a ratio of 1:6. Night Shift also has 4-6 RNs depending on census with a similar ratio. Estimated patient ratios vary from 1:1 to 3:1. Remote telemetry and EMR system used is Meditech. Most recruited skill set includes Med/Surg experience. Mom/baby experience with NRP is preferred. Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of current Hospital Acute Care Med/Surg experience. BLS certification is nice to have. Candidates lacking essential skills will not be considered. Typical procedures performed on the unit include: Cholecystectomy, Appendectomy, Medical management of patients. Ideal candidates will be outgoing with a can-do attitude. Outstanding customer service skills are essential. Independent and confident in their skills and judgment are important. Nursing staff often work with one other RN or alone, with resources available on the floor. Additional attractive features of the unit include new equipment and technology.
