Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a medical/surgical setting is preferred. License: State or compact license must be in hand at the time of submittal. Certifications: BLS required. Must-Have: - Charge experience preferred. - Experience in patient ratio management. - Familiarity with various charting systems. Description: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in medical surgical care. The role involves caring for adult patients with various conditions such as stroke, urinary tract infections, sepsis, pneumonia, and general weakness or unsteady gait. The unit accepts first-time travelers and has a diverse patient demographic including individuals from the surrounding community, assisted living facilities, and nursing care facilities. Nurses are expected to follow guidelines for isolation precautions and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Candidates must have skills in using rapid response and code teams, peripheral line care and management, nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management, and oxygen administration. The nurse will be responsible for patient assessments, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Every other weekend commitment is required. The dress code consists of navy scrubs.
