Job Opportunity – Renal Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse – Georgia

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required; patient ratio of 1:5-6 on a 49-bed unit with average daily census of 48; no call required

Highlights:

• Renal Medical-Surgical specialty unit caring for adult to geriatric patient population
• Epic EMR experience required; unit also utilizes Pyxis and SBAR systems
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, phlebotomy, lift teams, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Maximum of 7 days requested time off permitted; must be finalized at time of submission
• First-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year of nursing experience

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Georgia or Compact state) required at time of submission
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; experience with 1:6 patient ratios preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skills required include renal failure management, pre/post hemodialysis care, telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, medication administration (insulin, heparin, PCA), blood product administration, central line and PICC line management, wound care, respiratory support (BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula), and management of surgical drains, feeding tubes, and ostomies
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Full compliance documentation required prior to start date; all items must be completed by Tuesday before assignment begins
