Minimum of 2 years of experience; first-time travelers are not accepted. 2. Required charting system experience with Epic. 3. Preferred previous charge experience. 4. Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:6. Description: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in medical surgical care. The nurse will work with an adult to geriatric patient population. The unit accommodates 42 beds primarily for post-surgical patients, including those with orthopedic, urology, colorectal, bariatric, and neurological conditions, as well as general surgery patients. The nurse will be expected to perform various skills such as blood product administration, colostomy and ileostomy management, feeding tube care, and surgical drain management. Isolation precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE) knowledge are essential. The nursing staff will collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams, including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and others. The nurse will be required to float within the facility as needed and may be scheduled to work every other weekend. Holidays are expected to be worked as specified in the holiday policy. Compliance with all requirements is necessary to ensure the start of the assignment on time. Full compliance is required, and if not compliant, delays of up to two weeks may occur due to scheduling.
