The unit has 30 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6. Staffing includes clinical coordinators, unit secretary, patient care technicians, and case management. Common types of equipment used include walkers, IV pumps, and SCDs. Documentation is managed using Meditech. Scheduling requires four weekend shifts within a 28-day schedule and participation in holiday rotations. There is a floating policy in effect with other staff. Patient experience goals require achieving 72% satisfaction. Advanced nursing skills in medical-surgical care are essential. Experience with various respiratory diseases, renal diseases, gastrointestinal illnesses, telemetry, central venous catheters, indwelling catheters, and heparin infusions is necessary. Dress code requires navy blue scrubs. Unit-specific policies and guidelines will be provided upon request. This position offers opportunities to work with new equipment and technology.
