Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: Contract Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience required Must have 2 years of charge experience License: Must have RN license in hand Certifications: Must have BLS and ACLS certifications CPI certification is preferred Must-Have: Experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias Telemetry experience Tracheostomy care and management experience Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care in a medical surgical setting. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 1:6. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. Nurses must have experience with telemetry and management of dysrhythmias. Tracheostomy care and management is a critical function of the role. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Floating to other units may be necessary. All candidates must have a valid RN license and the required certifications. Experience in a Level 1 trauma setting is highly desirable. This position involves working with adult and geriatric patient populations. The nurse will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care. Charting will be done using an electronic system. A commitment to quality care and patient safety is essential.
