Description: Unit Information: Number of Beds: 30 Day Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse, 4-5 RNs if unit census supports, 2 PCTs, 1 HUC, and 1-3 sitters. Night Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse, 4-5 RNs if unit census is full, 2 PCTs, and 1-3 sitters depending on patient population. Patient Ratios: 6:1 Type of Equipment: Hoyer lifts, Sara steady, bladder scanners. EMR: Meditech Floating Requirement: Per the needs of the facility. Typical Hiring Profile: Most recruited for: Travel RNs, local CNAs, and sitters. Candidates without the specified skills will not be considered. Preferred Skills: Candidates with additional Med-Surg or acute care experience and previous experience in similar settings will be prioritized. Typical Procedures Performed: Post-surgical procedures including cholecystectomy and cystoscopy with stent placement. Pain management. Management of CIWA patients.
