Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,738 per week in Florence, SC

Job Title: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years preferred License: South Carolina license or Compact license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Ortho/Neuro experience preferred - First-time travelers accepted Description: This position is for a Medical Surgical RN with a focus on Ortho/Neuro patients. The shift schedule is three 12-hour days from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6-7. There is a requirement for weekend shifts, specifically every other weekend including Saturday and Sunday. On-call duty is not required unless assigned due to census. Travelers will need to float within the scope of practice to meet facility needs. The average daily census on the unit is approximately 34 patients. The unit focuses on medical and surgical patients. Preferred skills include experience with accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, and colostomy/ileostomy care. Knowledge of telemetry and management of complex patient cases is advantageous. This role requires the ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team. The facility maintains free parking for employees. Travelers should be aware of potential assignments to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs from June through November.
