Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,766 per week in Tulsa, OK

Job Title: RN Medical/Surgical Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical/Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30 PM - 07:00 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Critical thinking skills and ability to work with minimal supervision Description: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work in a stressful environment. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Cares for a diverse patient population in a 30-bed observation and medical-surgical unit with telemetry capability. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5-6. Supported by healthcare professionals, including patient care technicians and a unit secretary. Utilization of virtual sitter monitoring is available as well as monitor technicians to oversee telemetry patients. Works collaboratively in teams to provide optimal patient care. All staff are required to work weekends and holidays as needed based on department requirements.
