Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,780 per week in Augusta, GA

Job Opportunity – Medical Surgical / Remote Telemetry RN – Georgia

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Georgia

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement; 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 33-bed unit with average daily census of 28 patients

Highlights:

• Medical Surgical / Remote Telemetry unit caring for adult to geriatric patients with diagnoses including diabetes, post-operative care, wound vacs, and bariatrics
• Epic charting system required; experience with Pyxis and SBAR communication protocols
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Well-equipped unit featuring Diligent lift equipment, space labs in every room, and dedicated charge nurses on each shift
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off permitted; floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• First-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year of experience

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Georgia or Compact state license accepted)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry experience strongly preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with 5:1 or 6:1 patient ratios preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Required skills include: IV management, wound care/wound vac, telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, isolation precautions, chest tube management, feeding tube care, PCA pumps, and PICC line management
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
