Job Title: RN Medical/Surgical Profession: RN Medical/Surgical Specialty: RN Medical/Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM Hours per Shift: 13 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification Must-Have: Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test Description: We are looking for nurses to join our fast-paced Client/Stroke Team. Teamwork and clear communication are essential for this position. We seek team members who strive to improve the quality of life for these patients. Assist patients in improving their ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs). Clinical team interviews will be conducted before candidates are presented for consideration. The unit capacity is 30 beds. The population served includes primarily stroke patients along with some general medical-surgical patients. Patients range in age from young adults to late adults (18 - 60+). The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6. The core staffing plan includes Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and Nurse Interns (NIs). An RN assumes full responsibility for the patients on each team. Floating to different units or facilities may be required based on staffing needs, patient census, and acuity. Travelers will be notified before their scheduled shift if a float assignment is necessary.
