Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,794 per week in Nashville, TN

Job Title: RN Medical/Surgical Profession: RN Medical/Surgical Specialty: RN Medical/Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Must-Have: National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification Description: We are looking for nurses to join our fast-paced Client/Stroke Team. Teamwork and clear communication are essential for this position. We seek team members who strive to improve the quality of life for patients. Assist with improving patients' ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs). Clinical team interviews will be conducted before presenting candidates for the position. Travelers may be asked to float to different units or facilities within a 35-mile radius. Floating will be based on staffing needs, patient census, and acuity. Travelers will be informed before their scheduled shift if a float assignment is required. The unit capacity is 30 beds. The designated patient population primarily includes stroke patients. Some general medical surgical patients may be mixed in to accommodate fluctuations in stroke volume. We serve young adults through late adults (ages 18-60+). The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6. A variable staffing grid includes registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), patient care technicians (PCTs), and nurse interns (NIs). An RN assumes full responsibility for the patients on each team.
