Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,819 per week in Nashville, TN

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Able to perform basic patient assessments. General care and maintenance of wounds, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, and chest tubes. Experience with patients requiring dialysis or PCA pumps. Knowledge of post-operative procedures including amputations, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, oral surgeries, and wound vacs. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Med Surg to join our team. The unit includes 36 beds with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5. Daily staffing includes a secretary, with PRN techs as needed. Equipment used on the unit includes PD Cyclers, Welch Allyn VS Carts, Hoyer Lifts, Broda Chairs, and Alaris IV Pumps. Documentation is done through Meditech. Staff are required to work 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week block. Floating may be required within the facility. Patient experience is prioritized through bedside shift reports and safety checks every 1-2 hours. Candidates must be able to perform basic patient care and monitor conditions such as strokes and seizures. Teamwork is essential, and the environment is youthful and collaborative. Staff will be held to the same level of accountability and recognition as core staff. Dress code includes scrubs in navy, blue, white, black, gray, or ceil blue. Unit guidelines include HAI prevention, CVC and Foley monitoring with standard precautions, and fall prevention. Medication scanning, including controlled substances, is mandatory.
