Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical Float Duration: 10 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Required RN Licensure Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Epic experience Description: HARD STOP: EPIC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. This is a float pool position. Ensure the candidate is cleared on float units, ratios, and flexibility with scheduling. The patient population includes adults to geriatrics. The nurse will float to all medical-surgical and medical-surgical telemetry units within the facility. The ratio is 1:5-6. General skills and work setting requirements include proficiency in managing all potential medical-surgical diagnoses. Being adaptable for floating to sister campuses may be required. The nurse will work every other weekend, averaging six weekends in a 13-week contract. There are no call requirements associated with this position. If one major holiday falls during the assignment period, the nurse is expected to work it. If two major holidays occur, the nurse must work both. If three holidays occur, the nurse is expected to work two of them. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. Compliance is required to start on time. All compliance documents must be submitted prior to the contract start. The travel experience is not required, but preferred. Preferred experience includes working in medical-surgical and telemetry settings.
