Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required; Charge Nurse experience preferred License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Experience in managing adult to geriatric patient populations; familiarity with various respiratory and pulmonary conditions Description: Minimum experience of 1 year is required. First-time travelers are accepted. Charge Nurse experience is preferred. The patient population includes adults to geriatrics. Common patient diagnoses include COPD, asthma exacerbation, pulmonary embolism, pulmonary fibrosis, pleural effusion, pneumonia, lung cancer, RSV, flu, COVID-19, and mycoplasma. The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:5-6 with an average daily census of 12 patients. The unit utilizes specific systems for electronic medical records, medication management, and communication. Scrub color for the unit is navy blue. Travelers must be willing to float within the facility as needed. There are no on-call or weekend requirements specified. If assigned during major holidays, the traveler is expected to work as required. Full compliance is required to start on time; late compliance may delay the start date. All onboarding documentation must be completed promptly. Compliance with health and safety measures is mandatory.
