Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN Certifications: NIH, ACLS, BLS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Must be able to start IVs. Must be able to insert foley catheters. Must be able to insert NG tubes. Experience needed performing EKGs. Experience with heparin drips. Description: Responsible for providing patient care in a medical surgical setting. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic health record. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes. Provide education and support to patients and their families. Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Handle a patient ratio of 1:6. Experience in a fast-paced setting with high turnover is preferred. Rarely, may need to float to inpatient rehab or emergency room duties. Will demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills. Comply with all facility policies and procedures.
