Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,864 per week in Kansas City, MO

Job Title: RN Med Surg Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: ADN Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Med/Surg, nephrology, kidney transplants, renal, dialysis Description: The unit has a total of 20 beds. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:6. There is a unit secretary available during the day. Patient care technicians (PCTs) are present to assist. An educator is also available on the unit. The unit uses the Meditech documentation system. Three weekend shifts per month are required. There are no on-call requirements for this position. Agency or contract nurses will float first if needed. Patient experience is a priority on this unit. Procedures on the unit include med/surg care, while dialysis is performed off the unit. The dress code requires royal blue scrubs, though black scrub pants are allowed. Teamwork is recognized through a specific award. A virtual nurse completes patient admissions so bedside nurses can focus on their other patients.
