Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,864 per week in Shawnee Mission, KS

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Certifications: BLS Required; ACLS or PALS Preferred; Basic Dysthymia Class Preferred; CRRN Certification Preferred Must-Have: BLS certification Description: The unit has 16 beds with approximately 20 staff members. The team consists of a charge nurse and 1-2 other RNs during the day shift, with a point person and 1-2 other RNs during the night shift. An LPN and a PCT are available each shift if the unit is at full capacity. The equipment used includes Welch Allens, and the documentation system is EMR - Meditech. Staff will be required to work 3 rotating 12-hour shifts and participate in every third weekend. Floating to any medical floor may be required. Familiarity with rehab documentation is preferred. The unit cares for patients post-stroke, surgical patients (neuro or ortho), and medical patients requiring increased therapy. Awards and recognitions include the Unit of Distinction Award for 2021. The average years of experience among staff on the inpatient rehab unit is approximately 20 years.
