Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse in Med Surg.
The unit has 48 beds with a patient ratio of 1:7, aiming for 1:6.
Staffing includes 9 nurses, 5 patient care technicians, and 1 unit secretary.
Equipment on the unit includes EKGs, bladder scanners, and ultra lights for IV insertion.
Documentation is managed through a Meditech system.
Scheduling requires 3 twelve-hour shifts and every other weekend availability.
Floating policy is as needed.
The successful candidate will provide wound care, I/O catheterization, and trach care.
The unit emphasizes teamwork and effective communication.
Recognized for reducing acquired infections and receiving various awards for outstanding performance.
The team handles complex cases and works closely with case managers and social workers.
