Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Georgia

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Augusta, Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 38-bed medical surgical unit with remote telemetry; average daily census of 33 patients; every other weekend required; floating within facility/scope of practice as needed; no call required

Highlights:

• Medical Surgical unit caring for adolescent to geriatric patient population with diverse diagnoses
• Remote telemetry monitoring with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Epic EMR system required; experience with Pyxis and SBAR communication preferred
• Charge RN experience required; minimum 1 year nursing experience, first-time travelers accepted
• Up to 7 days of requested time off permitted per contract
• Holiday commitment required based on assignment period; compliance must be completed prior to start date

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Georgia or Compact state licensure
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience with charge nurse experience
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios in medical surgical settings
• Proficiency in peripheral line care/management, oxygen administration, isolation precautions, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
