Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,871 per week in Charleston, SC

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale Must-Have: - Advanced skills needed. - Procedures performed on the unit. - Certifications required: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (can be obtained). - Dress Code: Navy color. Description: Traveler shall be scheduled in accordance with facility policy. The traveler is expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees. The unit has 30 beds when fully opened. Currently, there are 18 beds available with renovations in process. Patient ratios are 6-7:1. The unit utilizes a team nursing approach with tech support available. Techs are present on the unit, with unit secretaries available for assistance. We strive to have a free charge nurse to support the team. The type of equipment used is typical for Medical Surgical settings. The documentation system in use is Meditech. Scheduling requirements include working 4 weekend shifts every 4-week scheduling period. The floating policy requires staff to float to similar units as needed. Patient experience requirements include performing hourly safety rounds and conducting bedside shift reports with patients.
