Job Title: Staff RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-surg Adult Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Valid license to practice in the Client Certifications: CPR required Must-Have: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Critical thinking skills; Ability to handle multiple priorities Description: The registered nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care using the nursing process. Accepts responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role-appropriate tasks in the implementation of care. Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines. Completion of an accredited nursing program resulting in a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required. Previous Registered Nursing experience is preferred. Physical demand requires exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently. The position may require frequent patient handling activity. Regulates emotions and exercises self-control in the workplace, managing urgent situations calmly. Communicates empathically with patients, demonstrating genuine care and concern for their welfare. Displays confidence in being assertive in interpersonal situations and supervises others professionally. May experience stress related to time management challenges and working with individuals who may be in distress. The position requires intact cognitive function in attention, memory, perception, and thought. Ability to prioritize work tasks when multiple issues need attention, with keen observation and accurate reporting skills. Strong organization, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills are necessary.
