Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse:
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to medical-surgical and orthopedic patients
- Monitor vital signs, wound healing, pain levels, and post-operative recovery
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal outcomes
- Educate patients and families about recovery, mobility, and discharge plans
- Maintain accurate, detailed documentation in accordance with hospital standards
- Ensure adherence to all infection control, safety, and patient care protocols
Requirements of the Travel Nurse:
- Active Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license (or compact license)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years' recent MedSurg or Orthopedic nursing experience
