**Job Description:**
- **Position:** Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg - Neuro
- **Schedule:** 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts)
- **Location:** 3441 Dickerson Road, Nashville, TN
- **Unit Name:** 3rd, Neuro Med/Surg
- **Cost Center:** 611
**Unit Specifics:**
- **Number of Beds:** 20
- **Patient Ratios:** 6:1
- **Support Staff Available:** Tech support for day and night shift, Unit Secretary 7 AM - 7 PM
- **Equipment Used:** IV Pumps, Telemetry, SCDs, Continuous Pulse Ox Machines, Feeding Pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, iMobile communication technology
- **Documentation System:** Meditech
- **Floating Policy:** Contract labor floats first; rotation for multiple C/L staff scheduled
**Expectations:**
- Provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and their families.
- Engage in bedside shift reporting and make personal connections with patients.
- Include patients and family members in their plan of care.

**Hiring Profile:**
- **Requested Skill Set:** Med/Surg experience, ability to prioritize care and multitask, start IVs, basic wound care, and maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes.
- **Must Have:** Active RN license, BLS certification
- **Advanced Skills Needed:** N/A
- **Certifications Required:** BLS
- **Dress Code:** Navy scrubs, tops and bottoms
