Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,915 per week in Wilmington, NC

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required in the last 5 years. License: Active RN license required. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required. ACLS preferred. Must-Have: Must be able to take heparin drips. Must have experience with PCA. Must have colostomy care and feeding tube care and management. Must have blood product administration experience. Must be familiar with central line and peripheral line care and management. Must be able to perform phlebotomy and PICC line management. Must be able to start IVs. Epic documentation experience is required. Description: RTO after booking is not allowed. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly turn into a cancellation. Traveler experience is accepted for first-time travelers. Local candidates are accepted with a rate difference. Target patient ratios are 1:5-6. Traveler will be assigned to every other weekend. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event or mass casualty. Patient diagnoses include severe injury to the bones, joints, and soft tissue, traumatic brain injuries, and spine injuries. Management of dysrhythmias, oxygen protocol management, and non-invasive airway management are required. Isolation precautions and PPE knowledge are necessary. Experience in traumatic brain injury, orthopedic trauma, surgical drains, and chest tubes is essential. Wound care experience is also required. Candidates must be open to floating to similar units and alternate care locations. Experience with telemetry and medical-surgical care is preferred. Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting.
