Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required, first-timers accepted License: Pending license not accepted Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Previous surgical experience Description: Shift: 19:00 - 07:00. Floating to other units is expected at times with this position. Confirmation of this conversation is required before final approval. Weekend requirements include working every other weekend. Candidates must be able to care for pediatric surgical patients aged 12 and above depending on the surgical procedure. This is a fast-paced inpatient surgical unit requiring previous surgical experience. Cannot guarantee block scheduling, but efforts will be made to group shifts together when available. Patient diagnoses include general surgery, abdominal surgery, urological surgery, orthopedic surgery, hysterectomy, mastectomy, spine surgery, and bariatric surgery. Expect to work designated holidays according to the RTO policy. Any time off must be included in documentation and discussed upfront. A zero-tolerance policy for THC is enforced. Medical marijuana cards are not accepted. Fit testing is required, and travelers must comply with grooming policies for it. An exemption for the grooming requirement requires a letter from an approved provider prior to arrival.
