Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Profession: RN Specialty: RN - Med/Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Preferred in acute care facility License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice: Required Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor: Required Must-Have: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Employs independent judgment when providing care. Collects relevant data pertinent to patients’ health or situations. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues. Develops plans that prescribe interventions to attain desired outcomes. Implements care plans and coordinates delivery of care. Employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining patient outcomes. Identifies outcomes for patients or their situations. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients and family members. Directly provides health information to patients and treatment teams. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Appropriately delegates and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to safety and wellbeing standards for associates and patients. Adheres to vaccination requirements as a condition of employment.
