Description:
Medsurg skilled RNs are needed for this medical-surgical unit with oncology history.
The primary patient population includes general medical-surgical diagnoses.
Responsibilities involve administration of chemotherapy and biotherapy, both intravenously and orally.
Patients may present with conditions such as AKI, sepsis, cancer, septic shock, pain, and diabetic foot ulcers.
Daily census is approximately 42 patients.
Staff may be assigned to floating roles within similar units as needed.
Call is required if called off on a prescheduled shift.
Weekend shifts will be scheduled every other weekend.
Staff may be assigned to specialized teams during catastrophic events.
Attendance to monthly staff meetings is required.
Candidates are expected to be proficient in medication and communication systems used in the unit.
Daily responsibilities include thorough patient care, monitoring, and documentation.
Candidates must possess the ability to provide patient education and support.
