Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BCLS Must-Have: Accepts first-time travelers Telemetry experience Management of dysrhythmias IV insulin protocols Feeding tube care and management Colostomy care Blood product administration Central line management Starting IVs Wound care Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit may result in cancellation. Traveler must pass EKG testing prior to start. The target patient ratio is 1:5-6. This is a night shift position. The contract length is between 13-26 weeks. The position may require working during catastrophic events. Floating to other units within the facility may be required based on needs. Weekend shifts are required, totaling 12-16 per contract. The unit will have patients with various diagnoses including dementia, diabetes, COVID, pneumonia, and COPD. Isolation procedures are in place for patients with COVID. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Experience with charting systems, preferably electronic, is required. Two supervisor references from the past 12 months are preferred. Candidates must be comfortable floating and have no restrictions on assignments.
