TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BCLS Must-Have: - Experience in MED/Surg and Telemetry-remote monitoring - Skills in interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, and colostomy care - Proficient in feeding tube care, pre/post hemodialysis management, and blood product administration - Competent in central line blood draw, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management - Ability to start IVs and manage heparin, PCA, and chest tubes - Experience with CPAP/BiPAP and high-flow nasal cannula - Knowledge of isolation precautions and wound care/wound vac Description: Responsible for providing care to patients with various medical and surgical diagnoses. Must be comfortable working with patients with dementia, diabetes, COVID, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, encephalopathy, GI bleed, anemia, and hip fractures. Experience in protocols and management of patients requiring critical monitoring is essential. The role involves utilizing rapid response teams and performing cardiac monitoring as needed. Must be able to manage insulin and heparin drips effectively. Communication and documentation are conducted through an electronic health record system. Expected to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services and pharmacy. Floating to different units may be required based on staffing needs. Adherence to safety protocols and continuous patient monitoring is vital.
