Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Med Surg and Rehab settings License: Active RN License required Certifications: BLS; CRRN preferred; CPI Blue Cert highly preferred Must-Have: Experience in peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions Experience with EPIC charting is preferred Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in inpatient rehabilitation and medical surgical care. The nurse will work 3 shifts of 12 hours each, during daytime hours. The patient care ratio may be 1:6, with potential for a maximum of 1:7 under certain circumstances. Common patient diagnoses include stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, amputations, and multi-trauma. The unit comprises 33 adult medical-surgical beds, with no telemetry services available. Nurses may be required to float to other medical-surgical units if necessary. The role requires the nurse to work at least one holiday during the 13-week assignment. Medical and religious exemptions for vaccinations will be considered. The facility does allow call-offs, with a policy allowing one shift to be called off every two weeks. Candidates should provide all requests for time off with their initial submission. Travelers who have previously worked in these types of roles must take a minimum break before returning. It is essential that travelers are compliant with documentation requirements prior to starting.
