Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,945 per week in Roanoke, VA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience required, including prior travel experience License: Active state or compact RN license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Proficient in Med/Surg care with experience in use of Rapid Response/Code teams. Skilled in peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions. Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical care within a specialized inpatient unit. This unit provides comprehensive care for adult patients with complex medical conditions and co-occurring behavioral health needs. Care focuses on the assessment, stabilization, and treatment of patients requiring integrated medical and behavioral health interventions. A multidisciplinary team approach is emphasized to ensure patient safety and recovery-oriented treatment. Responsibilities include medication management, behavioral support, and discharge planning. Staff collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, therapists, and case managers. Evidence-based, compassionate care is a priority to promote recovery and improve health outcomes. Call-off policy allows the facility to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. Travelers must be available to work one holiday during the contract period. Travelers will be required to float within skillset and may be assigned charge duties or precept new staff. Candidates must possess strong clinical skills and experience with the EPIC charting system.
