Schedule:

3 days per week with every other weekend. Patient ratio of 5:1 on 27-bed medical-surgical units. Float capability required between two medical-surgical units.

Highlights:

• Medical-surgical nursing with focus on post-operative patient care, particularly orthopedic procedures
• Meditech Expanse electronic documentation system
• Supportive unit environment with unit secretaries on day shift and patient care technicians available on all shifts
• Modern equipment including Computer on Wheels, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Welch Allen vital sign machines
• Perform advanced nursing procedures including blood transfusions, IV therapy, and central line maintenance
• Two positions available offering opportunity to work alongside colleagues

Requirements:

• Current Tennessee RN license or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Basic medical-surgical nursing experience required
• Post-operative patient care experience, especially orthopedic patients
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification preferred but not required
