Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,951 per week in Americus, GA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in hospital medical surgical units required License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS required Must-Have: Strict 75-mile radius rule applies. Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in hospital medical surgical units. Weekend and holiday coverage required. Description: The unit consists of 36 beds. The nurse-to-patient ratio is RN/LPN 6:1 and CNA 12:1. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. A charge nurse is present on the unit. Nurse aides are available to assist. Patients may require monitoring for conditions such as CHF, COPD, ESRD, pneumonia, renal failure, sickle cell crisis, orthopedic surgery, bariatric surgery, alterations in mental status, and sepsis. The unit has hospitalists in-house 24/7. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7. IV team consultation may be required for PICC placement as needed. Floor-specific orientation will be provided for 3 shifts. Please note that floating may occur occasionally.
