Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Nashville, Tennessee

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Nashville, Tennessee

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36-bed medical-surgical unit; Patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5; 4 weekend shifts required in a 4-week block; Floating over core staff as needed

Highlights:

• 12-week assignment on a progressive medical-surgical tower caring for diverse patient populations including wounds, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, stroke, and seizure patients
• Post-operative care for amputations, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, oral surgeries, and wound vacs
• Experience with PD Cyclers, Alaris IV Pumps, dialysis, PCA pumps, and Heparin drips
• Documentation via Meditech EMR with 100% medication scanning protocol
• Unit equipped with Welch Allyn VS Carts, Hoyer Lifts, Broda Chairs, and standard medical equipment
• Strong emphasis on patient experience including bedside shift report, safety checks every 1-2 hours, and focus on communication and responsiveness

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license in Tennessee (or compact state license)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required
• Proficiency in basic patient assessments and care for wounds, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, stroke, and seizure patients
• Experience with post-operative patient care preferred
• Adherence to dress code: Navy, Blue, White, Black, Gray, or Ceil Blue scrubs
