Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,965 per week in Lynchburg, VA

Job Title: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical - Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant nursing role License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Prior travel experience is required. Charge responsibility may be required, and appropriate pay differential and training will be provided. Traveler must work at least one major holiday, such as Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and/or New Year’s Day. Description: The position is for a General Medicine Med-Surg RN. Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6. The patient population includes a mix of medical-surgical and telemetry patients. Common conditions treated in this unit include GI bleeds, COPD, CHF, diabetes complications, ESRD, dementia, TIA/stroke, A-fib, hypertension, and sepsis. Ancillary support is available, including phlebotomy, EKG techs, certified nursing assistants, and a supply room for necessary equipment. Travelers may float to different locations as needed. Cerner experience is preferred. All team members are expected to contribute to a supportive culture, especially when interacting with students and new hires.
