Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,966 per week in Albany, GA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Acute Care MedSurg Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS Must-Have: 1 year of experience required with 1 travel assignment Description: Strict 75-mile radius from the traveler's driver's license address to the facility. Experience of 1 year is required. The unit has 44 beds and 40 staff members. BLS and NIHSS certifications are required, both must be AHA certified. Patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:5, possibly 1:6 for both days and nights. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech; experience preferred but not required. Nurse aides will be present, with a typical ratio of 1:8, generally 1:10, and sitters are provided. Shifts typically start between 6:45-7:15 PM. The weekend requirement is every other weekend. Holidays will be required as needed. Scrub color is Caribbean blue. Telemetry is available but monitored on a different unit. Floating may be required to all acute care areas and to assist with medical patients. General orientation lasts 1 week and includes EMR training. Floor-specific orientation will be 2 days. The area has a population of approximately 80,000. It is 175 miles from a major metropolitan area. Various housing options are available; properties are safe, clean, and regularly have availability. Cancellation policy applies every 2 weeks. Charting system is MEDITECH. A BSN is not required. Trauma level varies by patient needs. The care setting is acute. Division is nursing. Shift notes indicate hours from 7 PM to 7 AM.
