Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 17 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty, 1 travel assignment required License: Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Strict 75-mile radius rule. Must have 2 years of experience in specialty. Experience with high acuity, high turnover, and fast-paced settings is necessary. Patient safety and quality of care are priorities. Ability to handle a patient ratio of 1:6. Experience with various medical conditions such as diabetes, CHF, COPD, GI bleed, renal failure, and dialysis is required. Familiarity with wound care and managing conditions like DVTs and alcohol withdrawal is necessary. Capability to care for overflow post-surgical patients is expected. Must be able to work every other weekend and rotate with permanent staff. CNA support is generally available. Nurses may be required to take patient assignments if needed. Strict attendance policy is enforced. Only polished nails permitted; no artificial or shellac nails allowed due to infection control protocols. Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse with strong medical-surgical experience. The nurse will provide care for patients with a variety of diagnoses in an acute care setting. There is a focus on patient satisfaction and maintaining high standards of care. The unit consists of 141 beds and requires the ability to manage multiple patients simultaneously. Nurses must be capable of using electronic charting systems and work collaboratively within a team environment. Professional development and adherence to hospital policies are expected. All candidates must maintain professionalism in their attire and behavior as per departmental guidelines. This role is crucial to ensure the health and safety of all patients under care.
