Must-Have:
Strict 75-mile radius rule for applicants.
Minimum of 1 year experience in hospital medical surgical units.
Charge Nurse available on the unit.
Every other weekend and holiday shifts are required.
Floating to other units may occur occasionally.
Description:
Nurses will work in an acute care setting with a total of 36 beds.
Patient ratios will be 6:1 RN to LPN and 12:1 CNA.
Common diagnoses include CHF, COPD, ESRD, Pneumonia, Renal Failure, Sickle Cell Crisis, Orthopedic surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Acute Mental Status changes, and Sepsis.
The EMR system used is Meditech.
The location has a Clientist in-house 24/7.
Respiratory therapy services are available 24/7.
Nurses will not interpret strips but will manage necessary drips.
Consults to PICC teams may be required for IV needs.
