Schedule: 36-bed medical-surgical unit; 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week block; Patient ratio 1:4 to 1:5; Secretary and PRN tech support available

Highlights:

• Work in a 36-bed progressive medical-surgical unit with a supportive and collaborative team environment
• Exposure to diverse case mix including post-operative care, wound management, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, stroke, and seizure patients
• Equipment includes PD cyclers, Welch Allyn VS carts, Hoyer lifts, Broda chairs, and Alaris IV pumps
• Meditech electronic medical record system with 100% medication scanning protocol
• Float coverage provided over core staff; flexibility to support patient care across the unit
• Professional dress code with scrubs in navy, blue, white, black, gray, or ceil blue

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or ability to obtain
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Proficiency in basic patient assessments and care of wounds, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, and dialysis patients
• Experience with PCA pumps and Heparin drip administration
• Commitment to patient safety, bedside shift reporting, and patient experience standards
