Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,973 per week in Nashville, TN

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical Unit – Tennessee

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Nashville, Tennessee

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week block; patient ratio 1:4 to 1:5

Highlights:

• 36-bed medical-surgical unit with diverse patient population including post-operative care, wound management, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, stroke, and seizure patients
• Work with equipment including PD Cyclers, Alaris IV Pumps, Hoyer Lifts, and Broda Chairs; experience with dialysis and PCA pumps beneficial
• Documentation via Meditech EMR system
• Supportive team environment with experienced charge nurses and leadership committed to staff integration and success
• Unit staffing includes daily secretary support and PRN technicians
• Strong focus on patient experience including bedside shift report, regular safety checks, and responsive communication

Requirements:

• Current Tennessee RN license or eligibility for licensure
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required
• Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and manage post-operative patients including amputations, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, oral surgeries, and wound vacs
• Experience with IV drip medications (Heparin protocol)
• Adherence to infection control protocols including CVC and Foley monitoring, fall prevention, and 100% medication scanning
