Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical - Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Medical-Surgical nursing License: Current nursing license required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Prior travel experience Description: New position requested. Clinical Observation Unit seeks a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse. 12-hour day shifts available. Charge responsibility may be required, and the RN will receive the appropriate pay differential and training. Block scheduling can no longer be accommodated, but weekend-only requests will be considered. Up to 20 week-long assignments can be offered to ensure adequate staffing during the holiday season. Travelers must work at least one major holiday, including Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and/or New Year’s Day. Work history must explain all gaps longer than 90 days. Skills checklist and a copy of nursing license must be provided. The unit has a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6. Assignments end on Saturday, with 2 out of 3 weekends per month based on unit needs. Limited time off requests must be included at the time of submission. Cancellations may occur up to 36 hours prior to an assignment due to census changes. The environment is a teaching facility, and all team members are expected to support and interact positively with students and new hires. Float requirements do not apply to this position.
