Travel Registered Nurse – Medical/SurgicalLocation: 1000 Johnson Ferry Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30342
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Varies, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (Day Shifts)
Local Policy: No local candidates within 50 miles
Position Summary
Northside Hospital is seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have recent Med/Surg experience and be committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Current AHA BLS
- Current AHA ACLS
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical and surgical patients.
- Perform patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments.
- Monitor patient conditions, identify changes, and respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation.

- Holiday Requirement: Travelers must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day) and 1 of the 3 minor holidays (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve).
