Location: 1000 Johnson Ferry Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30342
Department: 614A Acute Surgery Unit
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights
Schedule: 3×12s
Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week

Position Details

• Department: Acute Surgery / Medical-Surgical

• Specialty: Medical/Surgical – Acute Surgery

• Local Candidate Policy: No local candidates within 50 miles

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical experience

Unit & Patient Population

The Acute Surgery Unit is a General and Bariatric Surgery Medical-Surgical department with a primary focus on post-operative and surgical patients.

Typical patient populations include:

• General Surgery

• Colorectal Surgery

• Bariatric Surgery

• Plastic Surgery

Required Qualifications

• AHA BLS – Required

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Medical/Surgical nursing

Holiday Requirements

Northside requires travelers to work:

• 2 Major Holidays out of the following 3:

  • Thanksgiving Day

  • Christmas Day

  • New Year’s Day

• 1 Minor Holiday:

  • Friday after Thanksgiving

  • Christmas Eve

  • New Year’s Eve
