Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,983 per week in Baltimore, MD

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required. Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment. License: Must have a valid nursing license. Certifications: BLS required. NIHSS preferred. Must-Have: Experience with wound salvage program. Ability to float within skillset as needed. Every 3rd weekend required. Description: Med Surg RN position available. Candidates within a local radius of 60 miles may be considered. The registered nurse will work with a wound salvage program. Patients with wounds and peripheral vascular disease will be treated. The goal is to preserve patients' extremities through various procedures. Patients may require antibiotics, wound cultures, and wound vacuums. Pain management may also be necessary. Occasionally, amputations may be required. The daily patient census is approximately 30. The unit features interdisciplinary support from various teams. Common patient diagnoses include diabetes, heart disease, and infections. Special procedures will include management of advanced wound care. The nurse must have skills in accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, and tracheostomy care. Additional skills in non-invasive airway management and insulin administration are important. Experience with charting systems and patient care is required.
