Must-Have:
Must be able to take heparin drips.
Experience with PCA, colostomy care, feeding tube care and management, blood product administration, central line care/management, and peripheral line care/management.
Experience with phlebotomy, PICC line management, IV starts, management of dysrhythmias, and O2 protocol management.
Ability to perform non-invasive airway management and adhere to isolation precautions/PPE.
Experience with traumatic brain injury, ortho trauma, surgical drains, chest tubes (Emerson/Pleuravac), nasal cannula, oral suctioning, tracheostomy management, and wound care.
Epic documentation experience is required.
Description:
RTO after booking is not allowed.
Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.
Target ratios are 1:5-6.
Traveler will be assigned to every other weekend.
Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event or disaster.
Floating to similar units and alternate care locations will be expected.
Patient diagnoses include severe injury to bones, joints, and/or soft tissue, traumatic brain injuries, and spine injuries.
Unit systems include Pyxis and EPIC.
Daily census is approximately 32 patients.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
Candidates must be comfortable with the specified patient ratios.
Travel pairs are allowed but must be on different units and disclosed.
Completion of pre-start modules is mandatory.
