Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical - Surgical Duration: 19 weeks Shift: 12H Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Current nursing license required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Prior travel experience is required - Clinical observation unit med/surg RN experience preferred Description: The position requires a registered nurse to work in a medical-surgical setting. Charge responsibility may be required, and appropriate pay differentials and training will be provided. Block scheduling can no longer be accommodated, but weekend-only requests will be considered. Up to 20 week-long assignments may be offered to ensure adequate staffing during the holiday season. Travelers must work at least one major holiday, which includes Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day. Work history must be provided, including explanations for any gaps over 90 days. Skills checklist and a copy of current nursing license must be submitted by applicants. Patient ratios are 1:5 or 1:6. Assignments will end on specified Saturdays. Two to three weekends per month may be required based on unit needs. Travelers are expected to contribute to a supportive culture, particularly when interacting with students and new hires. Floating to other units is not required for this position.
