Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,994 per week in Portsmouth, NH

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years in a hospital setting License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS, IV certification required Must-Have: Med-Surg experience Description: 2 years of experience in a hospital setting is required. Must have an active nursing license at submission. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Unit overview includes 36 beds with patient ratios of 1:6, occasionally 1:7 during surge. Unit staffing includes unit secretaries and licensed nursing assistants available for both shifts. Type of equipment includes telemetry. Documentation system utilized is Meditech Expanse. Scheduling requires three 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, and rotating holidays. Floating policy allows for floating to the same level of care. Patient experience initiatives include bedside shift reports, hourly safety rounding, and personal connections. Advanced skills required include IV certification. Procedures performed on the unit consist of CBI, wound care, drain management, foley insertion, central line dressing changes, telemetry monitoring, and EKGs as needed. Dress code includes scrubs of any color. Self-scheduling is available, though leadership reserves the right to communicate the need to balance schedules.
