Position: Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Med Surg)
Location: Muskegon
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift
Schedule: 3×12
Experience Required: 2 Years
Weekly Pay:$2000 to $2200
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a wide range of medical and post-surgical conditions
Perform detailed patient assessments and continuously monitor vital signs, pain levels, and overall patient status
Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and prescribed treatments safely and accurately
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Monitor patient progress and promptly communicate significant changes to physicians and the healthcare team
Prepare patients for diagnostic tests, procedures, surgeries, and discharge planning
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, recovery expectations, and home care instructions
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, pharmacists, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Follow infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and hospital policies
Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting positive patient outcomes
Requirements
Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License or Compact RN License (if applicable)
Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience
Current BLS Certification required
ACLS Certification preferred
Strong knowledge of adult medical-surgical nursing practices
Excellent assessment, communication, clinical judgment, and critical thinking skills
Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
Ability to prioritize multiple patients in a fast-paced hospital environment
